Cats

Watching cats is an interesting hobby. Usually they are very calm and friendly . But when disturbed they are very aggressive. It is very interesting to watch when they are engaged in hunting. Cat will sit and disguise sleeping. When a squirrel or a bird come nearby, all on a sudden she will charge forward and catch them. Sometimes she play with the prey like rat, cockroach etc. especially when she is with her little ones. She trains them how to catch the prey.

PULIKALI

Pulikali (tiger dance) is a performing art. Body painting is the main attraction of this street play. During the festival season the artists in Pulivesham from various parts of Thrissur gather at the Swaraj Round, the centre of Thrissur town encircling the Vadakkunnatha Temple. The performers in different types of vibrant Pulivesham painted on their biodies dance and play to entertain the people. There will be a hunter in the costumes of an English man. It is said that this performance originates during the British reign in this country. This video is based on some of my sketches in which I tried to show the wild and macho spirit of the force that enlivens this art form.

Microscapes (sooshmathalangal)

These very small paintings are in water medium on glossy paper. The method I used in these works is very interesting and simple. Painting the desired picture on a paper and immediately before drying press it on another paper so that the print of the original work will appear with different texture. Then edit the same with brush to create the final painting.

Elements

It was the word ELEMENT that provoked my thoughts. In the process of transferring this word visually I have to add some words which actually have visual features. I tried to visualise elements like that of flight, infinity, convergence, divergence, outburst, blackhole, transformation etc..... and the visual output of this can be seen here.

The interior

The lonely interior is a feeling. If there is more than one person in a room who are not communicating with each other and living in their own world create feeling of loneliness very intensively.
