This visual I captured on a rainy evening while I was sitting on a bench at Kasaragod Railway station. The sight of showering rain forced me to use my pen in sepia. Using the pen in an unconventional method the tree came into being. ; and using the alphabets of nobody's language the showering rain began to pour in. thus "kasarkottee jathi maram" happened. Other drawings in this series , most of them drawn during my daily journey by the train from Tellicherry to Kasaragod are about the vast tobacco fields in Kanhangad.
I'm living in Kathiroor in Kerala, the land of Malayalam...the word kathiroor evolved from the name kathiravanoor which means the land of Sun......
